Waimea Swinging Bridge

The Waimea Swinging Bridge, spanning the Waimea River, was destroyed by Hurricane Iniki in 1992. However, it was rebuilt in 1996 and once again connecting the farms on each side of the River. The Waimea Swinging Bridge is near the Menehune Ditch so it makes it easy to see two Kauai attractions at once.

To see the Waimea Swinging Bridge, take Highway 50 west from Hanapepe toward Waimea. Once in Waimea turn right on Menehune Road, just before Mile Marker #23. On the right side of the Road you should see the Waimea Swinging Bridge. On the Opposite side of the road you will find the Menehune Ditch. back to trip planner
