The Maui Arts and Cultural Center is located just outside Kahului and features music, dance, and visual arts. The entertainment and arts that are featured here are great for all ages and it is considered the finest art center of the Hawaiian Islands. Even the children’s programs are top notch.
The Maui Arts and Cultural Center opened its doors in 1994 and features multiple theaters and galleries. Of these are the 1,200 seat Castle Theater, the McCoy Studio Theater, the Alexander and Baldwin Ampitheater and the Schaefer International Gallery.
The Center also has meeting rooms, dance studios, classrooms and a gift shop. For unwinding you may want torelax in the tree-lined courtyard.
To get to the Maui Arts and Cultural Center take Keolani west to Highway 36 coming from the airport. Take a right at the sharp curve where it becomes Kaahumano. Then turn right and go to the end where the road makes a sharp left and become Kaahumanu. Drive about 2 miles and take a right on Wahinepio. The Maui Arts and Cultural Center will be on your left.
