This is a perfect stop during a trip to the North Shore. After a long drive (long by Hawaii standards), you’ll want to stretch your legs and grab a snack, and Dole is just the place to do so. Explore the gift shop and grab delicious pineapple treats, take a train ride around the plantation grounds, and even navigate the largest outdoor maze, discovering native plants and a variety of pineapple species during your time at the Dole Pineapple Plantation.
North Shore Beaches
Some choose to head to the North Shore for an entire day, and that is certainly a great idea. Spend a few hours exploring the North Shore, spend some time in Haleiwa, enjoy the famous surf beaches Waimea Bay, Banzai Pipeline, and Sunset Beach, and you can even add on a luau for your group at the Polynesian Cultural Center, creating a fun day for your group.
Scenic Lookout Points
As you drive around the island, you’ll find that there are a ton of scenic lookout points, ranging from panoramic views of the Windward Coast at the Pali Lookout, to roadside lookout points of beaches and offshore islets. These stops are typically pretty short and provide great opportunities for pictures.
