Oahu Attractions for Your Group to Check Out

Do a quick search of the sites to see on Oahu, or even throughout Hawaii, and you’ll encounter a list a mile long. Yes, there are so many sites to see around Hawaii, but realistically, if you visited every single attraction, you may not have time for much else. The natural beauty of the islands is no secret, and there is so much diversity in the landscapes that it is often unbelievable, so seeing the island is important. Many choose to take their group on a sightseeing tour around the island, but even that doesn't show you all that the island has to offer. These Oahu attractions for your group to check out will show you the diversity and beauty of the island, and won’t take up your entire vacation.

Makapu’u Lookout
Found around the South Shore as you’re making your way towards the Windward side of the island, the Makapu’u Lookout offers the most amazing view of Rabbit Island, Waimanalo Beach, the towering Ko’olau Mountains, and on the clearest days, all the way up to Kaneohe. If you look in the other direction, you’ll see an endless blue ocean.

La’ie Point
Found in the small town of La’ie, this lookout point is really neat. Offshore is an islet that features a giant hole right in the middle of it, the result of a hurricane that hit the islands and created the gaping space. The ocean here is quite violent in certain spots, and you’re sure to encounter locals casting a fishing line. Spend a few minutes here and take in the rocky cliffs and the houses built above.

Diamond Head
You’ll see Diamond Head throughout your vacation, but did you know you can actually get to the summit? A relatively easy hike takes you up to the top for a panoramic view of the island’s valleys, Waikiki Beach, the South Shore, and even all the way up to the western coast. Always take precaution with hiking and know your limits, and get ready to enjoy a fun adventure with your group.

Pearl Harbor
A trip to Oahu has to include a visit to Pearl Harbor, especially for groups with kids. The history of the attacks and World War II are on full display at a variety of exhibits and museums, standing to honor and remember the heroes of the attacks and the war. Enjoy the Visitor Center, a boat ride around the USS Arizona Memorial, USS Missouri Battleship, and the USS Bowfin Submarine. Take a Pearl Harbor Tour and get a narrated history of Pearl Harbor and the history of the Hawaiian Islands.

Manoa Falls
Rounding out Oahu’s attractions is the attraction that most are itching to see: a waterfall! The towering falls are tucked deep into the Manoa Valley and can be reached via a well maintained trail. It can get quite slippery on the trail though the hike to the falls is very easy and doesn't gain much in elevation. Just be careful as the valley is very wet and rainy and the trail is always muddy.
