Kauai
If Maui is a treasure, Kauai is a hidden gem. When you think of classic Hawaii, you think Kauai. The island has remained largely undeveloped, with resorts and hotels dotting the island, offering great places to stay and keeping the laid back Hawaii vibe that the islands are famous for. There is quite a bit to do on Kauai, including discovering the Na Pali Coast, enjoying sightseeing at Waimea Canyon, and taking advantage of the perfect beaches. Kauai activities are a ton of fun, and show you the natural beauty of the island.
Big Island
Known as The Big Island, but actually the island of Hawaii, this is the youngest of the Hawaiian Islands, and also the largest. The Big Island also offers the most direct connection to the creation of Hawaii. There are 5 volcanoes that make up the island, including the most active volcano in Hawaii, Mt. Kilauea, as well as the tallest point in Hawaii, Mauna Kea. There is a ton to do on the Big Island, including diving with giant Manta Rays, exploring the volcano, gazing at the stars atop Mauna Kea, and finding the black and green sand beaches of the island.
